Socal Endurance 12 Hour Series Preview
Hey mbaction! The 2009 endurance season is less than a week away. The Jan 24 race looks very strong and exciting. SoCal Endurance is pleased to welcome back endurance legend Tinker Juarez. Tinker’s big ring is a great way to watch him cruise the course! Tinker is joined by a number of top endurance racing pros. It’s a joy to have such a diverse field for the first race in 2009.

Socal Endurance is pleased to welcome the top bike companies back to our world-class vendor area. Headlining sponsor Intense Cycles and Ellsworth Turner and Cannondale Bicycles are some of our friends in the bike industry. Gold sponsors Hammer Nutrition, Spinergy Wheels and Pro Motion Sportswear, Ez – Up Direct, Intense Tires and Vigor Helmets are also available. This is only a small list. Many more vendors and services have also indicated their willingness to set up and display their products. These are the people that keep SoCal Endurance on its feet, so please help them!

We have lots of stuff to raffle for the 12 Hour Raffle thanks to our sponsors. This raffle will feature over €500,000 worth of prizes for the racers. Don’t forget about the 12 hour performance tickets we give away. We will give away more than just cash for this race. Also, the fastest lap for men and women and the fastest parade lap. Keep on going and you’ll be able to collect your prizes.

We have added some races to our SoCal Endurance calendar for 2009. My mission is to offer Southern California the best possible race experience. We will be in Big Bear, CA for the second race of the 12 Hour Series. This is correct, the Rim Nordic Ski Resort will host our second 12 hour event of the year on June 20. Running Springs is a challenging and fun trail. The scenery is spectacular. The Rim Nordic’s first 12-hour event will be an unforgettable adventure that is sure to become a legend. The first ever SoCal Fat Tire Epic will be held on October 3. The Race will take place at Vail Lake Resort in Temecula. Because the race will feature the best riders on nearly 100 miles of stunning Southern California trails, it earned its epic nickname. You can also choose shorter distances that will suit your riding style. It will be a challenging, long day on the saddle but it will be a SoCal Favorite. Stay tuned for more exciting events along SoCal’s classic trails. In about a month, we will release some exciting news regarding a series races that will rock the SoCal crowd! We will finish the year in November with the 12 Hour Championship at Vail lake resort.

We are now officially part of the Southern California Interscholastic High School Mountain Bike League. This is a great opportunity to give back the sport we love. SoCal Endurance will host the High School League’s first Race of the Year. It will take place at Vail Lake resort, March 8. This promises to be an historic moment for SoCal mountain biking.
